Basque Experiences records My France with Manu ! Check it out. A short trailer of the show that went out last week in Australia on Channel7. We had a great time arranging the shooting and locations for the 2 days the filming team were in the Basque Country. We cant wait to see the whole show!
There should be a couple of laughs in there and also a chance to see some of the beautiful Basque Country, specifically Donostia/San Sebastián and the entrance to the Port of Bilbao and the old fishing village of Algorta, Portu Zaharra/ Puerto Viejo.
On the cooking side of things, Manu learns how to fillet and to preserve anchovies Basque style before sampling some great pintxos in Bar Gandarias and Bar La Cepa in the old town of San Sebastián. After getting ourselves a little bit wet out in the Bay of Biscay, we sailed back into the Old Port of Algorta to show how to prepare a typical Basque dish; Squid in Ink Sauce! But you will have to wait for the show to come out here in Spain before we can put it on the site!!
